About the winery

These wines, molded from old, low-yielding vineyards, have amassed very much a reputation. Greenock Creek is genuinely an estate winery. Their scope of Shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and Grenache is produced using grapes become totally on the property and handled on location at Roennfeldt Road. The wines are discharged in September every year and sell out inside a few months through cellar door and mail request. Greenock Creek's Roennfeldt Road shiraz is a notorious Australian wine that is much searched for after.

About the wine – 2001 Vintage

Rich and plump, with beautiful coffee, plum, wild berry and zest notes that are smooth and cleaned, long and flavourful. An amazingly restricted discharge wine from one of Australia's "Cult" wineries. From the home's freshest vineyard (seven years), the 2001 Shiraz Alice's (600 cases) burns through 26-28 months in old American oak barrels and little foudres (hogsheads), and is packaged unfiltered. It is a riveting sample of extravagance, fixation, and body. It ought to drink well youthful, yet develop pleasantly for 12-15 years."
