Created in 1978, Greenock Creek is a little "boutique" Barossa winery with a generation level of just 2500 cases every year, possessed by Michael and Annabel Waugh. These wines, molded from old, low-yielding vineyards, have amassed very much a reputation. Greenock Creek is genuinely an estate winery. Their scope of Shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and Grenache is produced using grapes become totally on the property and handled on location at Roennfeldt Road. About the Wine – 1999 Vintage
From youthful vines planted in the Cornerstone Vineyard, the 1999 Shiraz Apricot Block (ancient in both new and old American oak) tips the scales at 14.8% liquor. Its hazy purple shading is joined by fragrant firecrackers (white blooms, pepper, sweet blackberry alcohol, and cassis). This perfectly clean, full-bodied, multidimensional, layered Shiraz shows low acridity and ready tannin. Appreciate this spectacular, ostentatious effort throughout the following 12-14 years.
