About the wine

The nearly perfect 2002 Shiraz Creek Block (from 54-year-old vines) has an inky/purple tint and additionally a staggeringly exceptional bundle of creme de cassis, blackberries, blueberries, charcoal, pounded rocks, and acacia blossoms. Hugely enriched, concentrated, rich, pure, and layered, it is about as gigantic as South Australian Shiraz can be. The cool 2002 vintage has given great depiction, fresh corrosiveness, and sweet tannin. The quality that rises up out of this estate is extraordinary. To put it plainly, these are exciting, world-class wines that are about as convincing as wine can be.
