Created in 1978, Greenock Creek is a little "boutique" Barossa winery with a generation level of just 2500 cases every year, possessed by Michael and Annabel Waugh. About the wine
The nearly perfect 2002 Shiraz Creek Block (from 54-year-old vines) has an inky/purple tint and additionally a staggeringly exceptional bundle of creme de cassis, blackberries, blueberries, charcoal, pounded rocks, and acacia blossoms. Hugely enriched, concentrated, rich, pure, and layered, it is about as gigantic as South Australian Shiraz can be.
